I often get asked: “what’s the most important thing for fat loss?” 🤔

My answer isn’t what they expect
–
It’s not the latest fad diet or a sexy new workout, it’s consistency
–
Why? Because mindset underpins everything
–
Perfectionists – beware! Such a mindset is the enemy of sustainable success 🤦🏻
–
Sure, perfectionism might mean faster results. In fact, it definitely will!
–
But make no mistake, with a perfectionist mindset, those results are infinitely more likely to be short lived 🙈
–
You see, perfectionism means “all or nothing” thinking
–
I.e. we’re either 100% “on it” – or we’re 100% “off it”
–
it struggles to accommodate life’s up & downs – and the obstacles that are inevitable (e.g. stressful weeks at work, family commitments, other priorities etc)
–
It sees hiccups & blips as “failures” and becomes discouraged when progress slows 😕
–
The truth is that *consistently perfect* is totally unrealistic for the VAST majority of people ❌
–
And, let there be no confusion, being *inconsistently perfect* WON’T yield results 🤷🏻♂️
–
For sustainable progress, strive for *consistently good enough*
–
Think progress, not perfection 👊
