Measuring Progress WITHOUT The Scale 🙏

Fact: some days the scale will go down & some days it won’t 🤷🏻‍♂️

The good news is that daily fluctuations are meaningless. All we care about is the long-term trend in weight. And if you’re staying relatively consistent with your nutrition, then you’re almost certainly on track 👍

Nonetheless, convincing clients to ignore daily weight fluctuations is often a challenge 😆 As SO many of us have a poor relationship with the scale (thanks diet industry!)

It is what is it 🤷🏻‍♂️ Above all, we focus on the scales

And feeling like we’re not making progress is demotivating

I know from my own journey that it can affect my mood for the entire day! And have knock-on effects to other areas of my life. That number that pops up can be SO powerful 😫

So how can we find progress on days when the scale doesn’t show it?

✅ Maybe we’re walking more
✅ Maybe we’re more in control of your food decisions
✅ Maybe that pair of trousers fits a bit better
✅ Maybe we’re feeling stronger

Some days progress is harder to identify, but I promise you it’s ALWAYS there 🙏

When we start to see it – rather than being so fixated on the scale – our entire mindset will shift 🧠

We’ll be more relaxed. We’ll feel more in control. We’ll see the bigger picture.

So don’t so hard on yourself next time the scale spikes. Stay consistent, trust the process, and remember all the oher areas you’re making positive changes 😇
