⭐ Today’s Topic // Can we burn fat in specific areas?

⭐️ THE MYTH ⭐️  

Fat-loss can be targeted – e.g. abs exercises burn belly fat, arm exercises burn arm fat, leg exercises burn thigh fat.
Ahh I get sooo many questions about burning fat in specific areas! ?

⭐️ THE TRUTH ⭐️

Whilst there are LOADS of diet productscreamsdrinks or exercises that CLAIM to reduce body fat in specific areas, the unpopular truth is that NONE them work ?

For starters, ANY diet product that claims to target body fat is total PANTS ?

And whilst strength training will certainly shape the underlying muscle, it’ll have NO impact on the body fat that sits above it.

Frustrating ? I know, but hey ho – we really can’t target fat loss. On the other hand, think of all the money we might now save ??

 ⭐ THE SOLUTION  ⭐

Whilst we have no control over WHERE we burn body fat – this is something our genetics alone will dictate – what we can do is ⬇️

?️ Control WHETHER we burn body fat
?️ SHAPE the underlying muscle – which will be revealed as body-fat decreases

Here’s how …

1️⃣ SUSTAIN A MODERATE CALORIE DEFICIT ⚖️ // Consuming fewer calories than our body burns is the ONLY way to burn body fat. The chances are that we’ll BURN body fat from the same areas where we GAIN body fat – e.g. tummy, arms or thighs.

2️⃣ STRENGTH TRAIN 2-4 TIMES WEEKLY ??‍♀️ // Strength training will SHAPE & “TONE” the muscles in our problem area(s)

3️⃣ INCREASE PROTEIN INTAKE ? // Hiking our protein intake whilst in a calorie deficit will help us preserve muscle – helping us to achieve the SHAPE we want!
