
Ooooo fad diets wind me up 😡

Juice diets, the Atkins diet, the Dukan diet, any detox diet, the cabbage soup diet, The Fast 800, low-carb diets – even Keto (in the vast majority of cases!)

Pick one, there are dozens out there 🤷🏻♂️
–
Now I’m NOT saying fad diets don’t work … they absolutely can
–
ANY diet that creates a calorie deficit will work
–
What I’m saying that they WON’T work long term
–
I’m also saying that they WON’T empower us with new knowledge & habits
–
Why? 🤔
–
Because they’re typically overly rigid, prescriptive & unenjoyable ❌
–
Their success is often dependent on perseverance & willpower alone
–
People tend to “suffer” through them …
–
… and then return to their old eating habits 🤷🏻♂️
–
The SAME old eating habits that caused them to gain unwanted fat in the first place!
–
And, sure enough, the pounds soon start to pile back on
–
Then what? … ahh yes, another diet 😂
–
Repeat… repeat… repeat… Sound familiar? 🙈
–
What typically ensues is an endless cycle of frustration between unsustainable quick fixes on the one hand, and old unhelpful eating habits on the other
–
Progress is rarely sustained. Control is rarely gained.
–
And, what’s more, because – let’s face it – yoyo dieting can be physically & emotionally exhausting, our quality of life can take a pummelling

But it DOESN’T need to be this way 🙌

Instead of looking for the next quick fix, long-term success means shifting our focus to sustainable lifestyle change
–
When we acquire new knowledge & skills – and develop new habits …

We empower ourselves to make changes that we can actually stick to!
–
Ones that we’ll enjoy; ones that can accommodate the food we love; ones that can flex around our favourite activities’ and ones that will keep us consistent for years to come!

You’ll never need to go on a “diet” again 😉
